Wondering what's the big deal with ChatGPT? What does GPT even stand for? Watch Bean Path's Appy Hour with Dr. Nashlie Sephus, Artificial Intelligence expert and Founder/CEO of Bean Path to learn the basics of this disruptive new chatbot.
Check out a few highlights below.
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022. It utilizes OpenAI's GPT-3 family of large language models to learn and generate realistic dialogue. GPT stands for Generative Pre-Trained Transformer.
What is a language model?
Simply put, a language model is an AI model that has been trained to predict the next word or words in a message based on the preceding words. Language models, for example, predict the next word you want to type in a text message or email, allowing you to complete the message faster.
What are some of the limitations of ChatGPT?
Sometimes ChatGPT writes sentences that appear logical, but upon a closer look don't make sense. It also doesn't always provide accurate information, even if the sentence structure is technically correct.
